2020 Forum Call for Proposals

LITA, ALCTS and LLAMA are now accepting proposals for the 2020 Forum, November 19-21 at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, MD. Intention and Serendipity: Exploration of Ideas through Purposeful and Chance Connections Submission Deadline: March 30, 2020 Our library community is rich in ideas and shared experiences. The 2020 Forum Theme embodies our purpose to share knowledge and gain new insights by exploring ideas through an interactive, hands-on experience. We hope that this Forum can be an inspiration to share, finish, and be a catalyst to implement ideas…together. We invite those who choose to lead through their ideas to submit proposals for sessions or preconference workshops, as well as nominate keynote speakers. This is an opportunity to share your ideas or unfinished work, inciting collaboration and advancing the library profession forward through meaningful dialogue. Call for 2020 Forum Planning Committee Volunteers

The Forum Planning Committee is looking for volunteers to help plan the in-person Forum in November 2020. This will be a joint event held with the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS), the Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) and the Library and Information Technology Association (LITA). We have openings on the following subcommittees: Accessibility and recording/streaming Sponsorship User experience & sustainability Website and marketing Deliverables Work with the LITA Office to plan and hold the in-person 2020 LITA, ALCTS, & LLAMA 2020. The Committee will decide the catering menus, program content, the schedule, keynote speakers, preconferences, and social events. Expected Time Commitment 1-2 virtual meetings each month, with more scheduled as needed as the Forum date gets closer; requires no face-to-face meetings each year; participants are encouraged to attend but are not required to be there in person at the Forum.
